Every day make-up

Hello girls
If you're anything like me, you wake up every morning and preform your basic make-up routine which consists of foundation, mascara, basic eye-shadow and you're out the door. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with just the basics, but from time to time its nice to change up your look a bit.
You should never be a slave to your make up, so I've gathered a few simple looks that will change up your look without taking too much time to achieve.
Defining your brows is a great way to enhance your features. Your eyebrows frame your face so playing them up once in a while is a simple way of defining your look.
I find using a matte brown eye shadow (similar to your natural brow colour - 2 shades lighter for darker hair and 2 shades darker for lighter hair) a fool proof way to define my brows. I like to shape my brows first by using my brow comb to make sure all hairs are sitting flat in the right direction. Then takeinga small angled brush with a small amount of colour - remembering less is more, and apply using soft small feathery strokes in the same direction as the hair. This creates a natural filled in brow, as opposed to dragging the colour in harsh lines which often creates a heavy look.
LC is often seen at events rocking a cat-eye winged eye liner. With a bit of practice and precision this is such an easy way to add some extra sophistication to your everyday look. Taking your black liquid eye liner, line your lash line using small precise strokes, to create a flawless even line from the inner corner to the outer corner. When it come to winging it, I like to apply a small piece of sticky tape firstly to the back of my hand then place it along the outer edge of your eye in an upward direction (toward the temples) - depending on how dramatic you want it to look. You can also determine how thick you want the wing by making it fuller and thicker.
Bright lips can also add a bold statement to your look. To achieve the perfect lip, make sure your lips are nourished and moisturised. Before applying your lip colour you want to apply a  moisturising lip balm to combat any dryness. To ensure long lasting colour line and fill your lips with a similar coloured lip liner. Taking a lip brush, apply the colour over the liner gradually building up the colour to achieve the desired opacity.
Eye shadows are amazing for adding definition to the eyes. They make it so easy to make your eyes the focal point of your look using colours that accentuate your eye colour. The colour wheel is great for determining what colours will suit your eye colour best.
Find your eye colour on the colour wheel above. The colours corresponding to your eye colour are the colours that will work best to enhance and make your eyes "pop" or stand out.
Basic application consists of a 3 step process, that will transform and accentuate your eyes in no time.
To create depth or to contour, select a slightly deeper coloured shadow and sweep in the crease of the eye. Crease contouring adds definition to puffy, deep set or hooded eyes.
Sweep eye shadow in a window wiper motion, starting from the outside edge of the crease moving inwards with your brush. Layer the shadow until l the desired effect is reached.

I hope that this has inspired you to play around with your make up, and given you a few ideas on how to play up your features.
Beauty comes from within!
What are your fav make up looks?
Hope all you NZ girls are enjoying your holidays.
H XO
